Aberdeen City Council and Partners Awarded Platinum Digital Telecare Implementation Award

Digital Telecare for Scottish Local Government are delighted to confirm that Aberdeen City Council and Health and Social Care Partnership with Bon Accord Care, and the Emergency Response Team, have been awarded the Platinum Digital Telecare Implementation Award in recognition of the recent progress of their analogue to digital telecare transition project.

To achieve the Platinum Implementation Award, a Telecare Service Provider must have successfully rolled out a live digital telecare service to 100% of service users and is operating successfully without serious issues or call failures for at least 8 weeks.

Delivered with Aberdeen City Council and Health and Social Care Partnership, Bon Accord Care and the Council’s Emergency Response Team, the Analogue to Digital Telecare programme has moved around 12,000 service users across Aberdeen, Moray and Aberdeenshire to digital services ahead of the planned analogue network switch-off in January 2027.

The Council is also the first organisation in Scotland to integrate fire and security alarms, and out-of-hours services into a Digital Alarm Receiving Centre, strengthening emergency response provision across Aberdeen and partner areas.
