Angus Health and Social Care Partnership Successfully Implement the Shared ARC Platform

Announcement. Digital Telecare. 29.05.2025

On 7th April 2025, Angus Health and Social Care Partnership's (AHSCP) Community Alarm Control Centre transitioned to the Shared Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Platform, a national initiative led by the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government.

AHSCP has converted 2,900 customers from analogue alarms to digital alarms, including telecare, across various localities. AHSCP is working with the remaining 400 customers to complete the exchange of alarms.

This upgrade has enhanced connection speed and communication clarity for current users of the service. The successful data transfer and provision of training support were achieved through effective collaboration among in-house staff and other stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to the service.

The implementation of the Shared ARC Platform will allow AHSCP to identify new innovative technology to support the people of Angus in the future.

Tracey Abbott-Gray, AHSCP Home Care Resource Manager, said: “During our switch over to the Chubb Cloud Care Control System, powered by Skyresponse, we have been faced with new learning and impromptu changes that have been challenging at times. Nevertheless, staff remain focused, embraced the changes, and reached out supporting each other. At the same time, the Senior team and staff have also worked hard in ensuring continued service delivery and support to our people in Angus.

Their diligence, hard work in moving forward with this change along with commitment, focus, drive, and teamwork has been the key in achieving the move to Chubb Cloud Care Control. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all staff who have worked hard in embracing our move to the new digital platform.

We are looking forward in introducing the responder app and are excited in the innovation of telecare and telehealth opportunities that now lie ahead”
