Digital Telecare Playbook: Data Pathway
The move to digital has opened up a vast network of opportunities through data driven technologies and services that can completely transform the way we deliver telecare, enhancing the benefit to the client through assistive technologies and predictive analytics. The Data Pathway aims to pull together the resources and examples of best practice to be shared on a ‘Once for Scotland’ approach through the Digital Telecare Playbook.
The Data Pathway relaunch closely aligns with the Health and Social Care Data Strategy and it’s vision to:
- To empower the people of Scotland
- To empower those delivering health and social care services
- To ensure fit for purpose data is readily accessible .
Ambitions like Empower People, by giving greater access to and control over their health and social care data, where it is safe and appropriate to do so. Empower Professionals, to have the confidence and ability to gather, safely use, and share data. And Supporting Research and Innovation through test of changes and pilot studies are necessary to enable access to data and utilising the information to enhance decision making.
The pathway also aims to utilise FAIR data principles to outline ways to make data, Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable through Information Standards and Interoperability, this will be enhanced through the adoption of the Telecare Information Framework Scotland and following onboarding of Telecare Service Users to Digital ARCs and the Shared ARC Platform, we will be able to have standardised reporting, data extraction and interoperability of equipment, services and, reports.
