East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership Awarded Platinum Digital Telecare Implementation Award

Award. Digital Telecare. 02.04.2025

We are delighted to confirm that East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has been awarded the Platinum Digital Telecare Implementation Award in recognition of the recent completion of their analogue to digital telecare transition project.

To achieve Platinum, a Telecare Service Provider must have successfully rolled out a live digital telecare service to 100% of service users and is operating successfully without serious issues or call failures for at least 8 weeks.

East Ayrshire HSCP acknowledges the critical importance of transitioning the Community Alarm service from analogue to digital. Following the announcement by telephony companies regarding the discontinuation of copper analogue lines and the shift to digital, East Ayrshire HSCP initiated immediate planning for this transition. This planning included the recruitment of the Analogue to Digital (A2D) team, tasked with overseeing the transition of the Community Alarm service and associated equipment.

Since receiving their Bronze Digital Telecare Implementation Award in January 2023, the A2D team has concentrated on the procurement and deployment of new digital-ready Community Alarm units, thereby reinforcing East Ayrshire Council’s position as the transition progresses.

East Ayrshire HSCP has completed the move to a fully digital telecare service, ensuring a safe and resilient service for users in the region.

We extend our wholehearted congratulations to East Ayrshire HSCP and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
