Introducing Two New Pathways on the Digital Telecare Playbook: Pioneering the Future of Telecare

Announcement. Digital Telecare. 21.03.2024

In the ever-evolving landscape of digital innovation, we aim to equip Telecare Service Providers with the tools and guidance to truly revolutionise telecare services in Scotland. We are thrilled to announce the launch of two pathways on the Digital Telecare Playbook, each representing a crucial phase in our mission to seamlessly transition from analogue to digital telecare while driving innovative solutions for the future.

Management Pathway: Navigating the Closure Phase

The final phase of the Management Pathway marks a significant milestone in our analogue to digital transition journey. With meticulous planning and dedication, we have ensured the successful closure of projects, laying the groundwork for a seamless transition. As we gear towards the 2025 deadline, our focus lies on connecting devices to digital solutions, ensuring that every aspect of the project's success is acknowledged and celebrated.

Ensuring that the project success has been noted and can continue by redeploying the project team and placing customers at the heart of the service, organisations can showcase the benefits gleaned from this transition. Armed with a wealth of information and insights, organisations can recognise the invaluable lessons learned, paving the way for future projects. Next steps are considered in this phase to reimagine telecare for the future, leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to elevate our services to unprecedented heights.

Innovation Pathway

The Innovation Pathway embodies our commitment to fostering creativity and embracing cutting-edge technologies in the realm of telecare services. With a focus on delivering innovative products and services, we are embarking on a journey to explore new frontiers and push the boundaries of what is possible.

Currently, we are actively scoping various projects aimed at implementing ground-breaking technologies such as apps, use of existing devices (BYOD), robotics, and diverse connectivity options. The Pathway will be launched with a view to update new technology and outcomes as new case studies are created on the completion of innovative projects. These projects  will serve as case studies, providing valuable insights into the potential of digital telecare services.

Collaborating closely with industry partners and telecare service providers, we are set to test new equipment, processes, and technologies, capturing key learnings to shape the future of telecare services. Over the next 24-30 months, working groups will be formed to delve into the intricacies of each project, identifying opportunities and resource requirements to complete proof-of-concept pieces for innovation.

All new case studies and learnings will be documented on the Digital Telecare Playbook, providing a roadmap for scaling innovation within partnerships and shaping a unified approach towards telecare services in Scotland.

As we embark on this transformative journey, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of telecare services. Your insights and contributions are invaluable in driving innovation and shaping a brighter future for telecare in Scotland and beyond.
