West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership Awarded Gold Level Two Digital Telecare Implementation Award
Digital Telecare for Scottish Local Government are delighted to confirm that West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (WDHSCP) have been awarded the Gold Level Two Digital Telecare Implementation Award in recognition of the recent progress of their analogue to digital telecare transition project.
Since receiving the Bronze award in January, the team has demonstrated unwavering commitment to transitioning service users from legacy analogue alarms to modern digital telecare systems and peripherals.
The Gold Level 2 award recognises that WDHSCP has successfully rolled out a live digital telecare service to 50% of service users, with the system operating reliably, without serious issues or call failures, for a minimum of six weeks.
WDHSCP achieved this milestone in July 2025, less than six months after its Bronze accreditation. The Telecare team continues to work at pace to ensure all remaining service users are transitioned to digital by the end of September 2025.
With support from the Digital Office and Chiptech, their digital alarm provider, WDHSCP now offers digital telecare as standard for all new service users. The remaining transitions are progressing swiftly, ensuring that residents across West Dunbartonshire benefit from safer, more resilient technology-enabled care.
Margaret-Jane Cardno, Head of Strategy and Transformation, said: "I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the WDHSCP Telecare team for achieving the Gold Level Two Digital Telecare Implementation Award. This recognition reflects your unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and person-centred care.
Your dedication is helping to ensure that our most vulnerable residents are equipped with digital telecare alarms, enabling them to continue living safely and independently at home. This award is not just a milestone, it is a testament to the professionalism, compassion, and collaborative spirit that define your work. Successfully transitioning 50% of our service users to digital in such a short timeframe is a remarkable achievement, and one that has made a meaningful difference in our community.
Well done and thank you for your outstanding contribution!"
We extend our wholehearted congratulations to West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership and look forward to continuing to work with them as they progress towards the Platinum Digital Telecare Implementation Award.
