Digital Telecare Implementation Award Scheme

The Digital Telecare Implementation Award Scheme aims to provide recognition to telecare service providers across Scotland when reaching five key milestones during their transition to digital telecare.

The process of upgrading from analogue to digital telecare requires organisations to successfully complete a number of stages. This represents a significant commitment from services who, historically, have not been over resourced. However, given telecare is an essential service the transition cannot be rushed, and it is essential that the final digital telecare solution provides a safe, reliable and high-quality service to service users. 

The Digital Telecare Implementation Award Scheme was created in recognition of these two things, and is designed to celebrate the success of organisations reaching one of five key milestones in the analogue to digital telecare journey, while simultaneously reinforcing the importance of these milestones themselves. Furthermore, it is hoped that external recognition of this nature will help ensure internal recognition of the achievement organisations have accomplished in attaining these five badges. The five badges include: Bronze, Silver, Gold Level One, Gold Level Two, and Platinum.

Telecare service providers can access the application guidance document which details the scheme and provides a description of the requirements they must meet for each Implementation Award and details on how to apply by logging in to the Digital Telecare Playbook.
