Blog. Digital Telecare. 09.12.2024

The Housing Programme has achieved many milestones in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to enabling digital-first solutions and enhancing resources for housing associations and residents. Here’s a look back at the key achievements this year:

New Housing Implementation Award Scheme

In 2024, we designed and launched the Housing Implementation Award Scheme, recognising excellence and progress among housing associations as they embrace the transition to digital solutions. This initiative encourages innovation and collaboration while celebrating achievements in housing.

Highland Case Study: Digital Dispersed Replaces Warden Call Systems

The Highland region took a bold step forward by replacing traditional Warden Call Systems with Digital Dispersed technology, showcasing how innovation can modernise housing support. This case study demonstrates how digital solutions can deliver improved efficiency and flexibility, empowering both residents and service providers.

Housing Roadmap Launched at the SFHA Conference

At this year’s Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) Conference, we unveiled the Housing Roadmap. This comprehensive framework guides housing associations through the transition from analogue to digital, with clear milestones and practical advice to ensure a smooth and successful migration.

Resource Pack and Asset Register: Review and Re-launch

To better support housing providers, we conducted a full review and re-launched the Housing Resource Pack and Asset Register. These updated tools provide housing associations with essential resources to manage assets effectively and ensure readiness for digital transformation.

Destination Digital: Workshop at Tec-H Conference

At the Tec-H Conference, we hosted the Destination Digital Workshop to discuss the future of housing in a digital world. The session explored how the Digital Telecare Programme can support housing associations through the analogue to digital switchover.

“Home Phone” Leaflet Designed for Residents

Recognising the importance of stakeholder communication, we collaborated with AlliP and Orkney Council to design a Housing “Home Phone” Leaflet tailored to inform residents about changes to their telephony services during the digital transition. This resource helps address common concerns, offering clear guidance and reassurance to residents navigating these changes.

As 2024 comes to a close, the achievements of the Housing Programme highlight our collective progress in driving digital transformation. With new frameworks, resources, and case studies leading the way, we’re poised to continue innovating and delivering exceptional outcomes in 2025.
