The Digital Office for Scottish Local Government is delighted to announce Digital Leaders Week, which will explore the impact of the coronavirus on public services and how moving forward Scottish Local Government can respond by utilisng technology.

Beginning on Monday October 12th the Digital Office Business Relationship Manager David Brown will host a talk titled 'Our Transition to Digital Telecare - Coronavirus Impact and Recovery.' This session will feature a few organisations which have had their transition to Digital Telecare disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic and representatives will set out their recovery plans within the context of COVID-19. October 13th will see the Digital Office Chief Digital Officer Martyn Wallace detail the journey of the Digital Office from 2016 in addition to setting out how the new Business Plan will contribute to the success of digital transformation across Scottish Local Government. Day three will see Digital Office Programme Manager Jenny Sime give an insight in to standout Digital Champions Programmes from Dundee City Council, Falkirk Council and North Ayrshire Council. A representative from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) will give an overview of their key principals, Digital Champions Programme and their Essential Digital Skills toolkit. The final day on October 15th will see Digital Office Business Relationship Manager David Brown deliver his second talk of the week, titled 'Supporting the Transition to Digital Telecare - Scottish Local Government'. This session will detail the success of the Digital Telecare Playbook which was launched on October 31st, 2019. This talk will discuss the key support that the Digital Telecare Playbook has provided to Health and Social Care Partnerships and will explore what lies ahead for the resource. Find out more here.
